Why thank you kind stranger for asking me such a great question. You obviously respect my opinion enough to ask me over tumblr. Thank you for valuing my opinion so much. Well, it is my opinion that there is no ‘superior’ place to live. I myself live n the suburbs and would therefore not consider myself to be a ‘townie’. I love living with the city at close proximity as it is quite practical when I feel myself lacking an item or just people and atmosphere. There is something truly magical that a big group of people living in an area that isn’t sufficiently big enough for them can make. It is for this reason that I think I, myself, will always be attracted to the city. However, were one of my very very dear friends from the country to ask me to marry him and move to the country to live with him, I think I would promptly up shop and spend the rest of my life blissfully in his bed ;) My friends from the country are truly inspirational people and sometimes this has me wondering….maybe their being exemplary people has to do with the fact that they are living in the country. I have not experienced this form of living heads on and maybe it would be beneficial to me to throw myself into the country and try to be more like them. Maybe I would eventually acquire that magical quality that will take them far in the world. It is possible that I have been kidding myself all my life and that I am a country girl at heart. All I know is that there are three country boys who will always be in my heart and who I shall miss eternally because of the disgraceful distance that divides us….Thank you, Stranger, for such a thought-provoking question. I hope we can talk again soon.

I just think it changes your attitude to sex. A negative experience will change your feelings about it and make you feel uncomfortable. You can be reluctant to put out with the one you love in the future or you can become apathetic about sex. Are you considering having sex?

Emm why are you asking?? I think it completely depends on the people and their relationship. I don’t think it’s a good idea to have sex with strangers or outside a relationship at this age. (In fact, I don’t think it’s right at any age) If people really love eachother and want to be closer (yes I know I’m being cliche) then I think it is ok. You both need to be completely ready and prepared mentally though. I’ve seen the effects that having sex without being ready has on people and it seriously damages their subsequent relationships. So yeah, sex can strengthen a relationship if it is strong, it can damage it if it’s weak. I’d say the best way to be sure is to be overprepared mentally.

How do you manage to separate your dreams for your future and college from the dreams of your friends and boyfriend? I want to study abroad too but I'm scared of leaving my life behind

I don’t think I’ve got that far yet. Like I’ve said-If you’re not in it, you can’t win it. I am applying but I don’t think I’ll know what’s best for a while…I’m hoping it will just become clear to me. I have so many beloved friends and a boyfriend who I love too but like you said: I do separate them. For now anyway. It may sound strange but I’m just enjoying the application process at the moment and all the excitement around it. I would be happy with a few acceptances. Those, in themselves, would be achievements. Who knows what I will end up doing. Oh, I do kind of have one ‘code’ thing for myself. My boyfriend will never come into my decision. I decided that long ago. In order to make the right decision for me, I can’t have my boyfriend clouding my judgement. I’m in no way denying that that’s hard to do. Hope that helps in some way….:P

Well….I would absolutely KILL to go to the States or the UK. I took my SAT yesterday and I think it went ok-ish….If I could have my dream come true I would somehow win the lotto and get into Columbia University and/or Brown.

My number one choice in the UK is St. Andrews. I am also interested in Glasgow and Bath. I’m pretty sure I want to do Psychology (possibly with a language). In America you can take any classes in 1st year and that would really suit me as my interests are broad-ranging. :)

If I stay in Ireland, I WILL go to Trinity. I don’t think I’d be happier going anywhere else. My Dad works there as a professor in Computer Science, my parents got married there and I spend a lot of time hanging out around there. That is most realistically where I’ll end up going. My attitude to applying abroad is ‘if you’re not in it, you can’t win it’. So that’s why I’m getting all my applications started now. Here’s hoping something will come together for me. :) Thanks for the question!

Volunteer Work

Got some volunteer work with Headsup.ie :) It’s an Irish website that promotes mental health. I think I’m going to get to write articles and do some promotional work and stuff.

I can’t wait! :) Nothing makes me happier than helping other people. Sure, I haven’t been achieving as much as I used to or am capable of. But there are more important things in life. I want to be remembered for how I made my friends lives easier. How I helped people work through their problems. I want to be an approachable and open person.

I’ve needed help in the past and I was granted it. I can honestly say that I have never been happier in my life than I am now. There are still some loose ends…..but I’m working on it. The great thing about helping other people is that it helps you to help yourself.

I’m becoming increasingly convinced that this is what I want to do with my life. Help people through their day to day issues. If anyone ever needs advice/help don’t be afraid to ask. I will do my best to help you :)
